Prof. Salosagcol is a certified public accountant and graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the Technological Institute of the Philippines in 1994. He placed second at the Philippine CPA Licensure Examination in May 1995.
Prof. Salosagcol has extensive experience in auditing and consultancy for over 26 years. Currently, he is a CPA reviewer and a major shareholder at the CRC-ACE Review School.
He has also authored and published books: Basic Accounting Theory and Concepts; and A Guide in Understanding the Philippine Standards on Auditing.
He worked as an Auditor from 1995 to 1997 at the Sycip, Gorres, Velayo & Company and was a professor at the De La Salle University and St. Scholastica’s College from 1997 to 2002.
Among his professional involvements with various government institutions were as members of the following:
Prof. Salosagcol assisted the Commission on Audit (COA) in the adoption and implementation of the Public Sector Accounting Standards.
He led the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) in the development of the Financial Reporting Framework for Cooperatives in the Philippines.
He assisted the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) in reconciling the PFRS rules with the BIR Rules and Regulations.
He is a consultant of various listed companies and government agencies such as San Miguel, Meralco, Innodata, Petron, Ayala Land, Social Security System, Philippine Health Insurance, Energy Regulatory Board, Regulatory Toll Board, and Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, among others.
